Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a time commitment to the membership or can I cancel anytime?
No, you can cancel your membership at any time. One things to consider is that if you do cancel, you will not be able to re-enroll until the membership opens to new members in several months.
Also, you will lose your 'grandfathered status.' The licensing rights to use the resources in your classroom will be revoked.
I'm confident that the membership will provide you with so much value, you won't even consider canceling!
If I already own a few resources, is it still worth joining?
Thanks for purchasing resources from OOTWL! With over 500 resources available to date for teachers, it's safe to say you will gain added value by getting access to it all!
If for whatever reason you do decide to cancel your membership, you will still maintain your licensing rights to any previous resources you've purchased, but joining the membership will give you so much more!
Is the membership really closing on Feb. 1?
Yes. I want to get back to doing what I do best, which is creating high quality resources for your classroom. By only opening the membership a couple times a year, it will allow me to spend my time supporting members and teachers who chose to purchase the resources separately.
What is the difference between a Gold and Platinum Membership?
The Gold membership will give you access to every resource available from OOTWL, along with the one webinar training, "Jen Bengel 101.
The Platinum membership gives you all the Gold has to offer, PLUS access to all 14 webinar trainings and a 5 hour video course on teaching writing."
Will I get access to new materials with the membership?
Absolutely! As an OOTWL member, you'll gain access to every new resource created in 2019 and beyond. As long as you are a member, you'll have access, just like Netflix ;)
Will I be able to download/print resources in with the membership?
Yes. However, documents are changed and updated all the time. The site is designed so that you can access the most updated material when you need it. I want to save you as much time as possible.
Can I share my membership login with other teachers?
Each teacher will need his/her own license. Out of This World Literacy is able to provide affordable resources directly to teachers and districts and respectfully asks that all abide by the terms of the license to keep prices low for everyone.
Why wouldn't a teacher in grades 2-6 become a member?
Ok, so I made this last question up. In all seriousness, I have tried to make this the biggest 'no brainer' decision you could possibly make regarding your own sanity and classroom lesson planning. You owe it to yourself, your family, and to your students.
